National Hedgehog Day
As the 2nd February was National Hedgehog Day, the children collected sticks and leaves from around the forest school garden, to decorate our large cardboard hedgehog drawing.
The children learnt that hedgehogs mainly come out at night (are nocturnal), what they do like to eat and why we should never give them milk and bread.
Whilst we have been having seasonal winter weather, the pre-schoolers have been enjoying playing in the snow, breaking up the ice and jumping in the puddles. There is plenty of mud for our mud kitchen now!
To celebrate pancake day 3-4’s have been eating pancakes that we have cooked on the campfire. The children really enjoyed eating them.
