Autumn has arrived in our Forest Garden
We have been easing ourselves back into our forest school routine. The children spent the first week using the saw and the drill to create their own necklaces, I wrote their names on them and the children decorated them. I will hang these on the tree for the children to look for each time they come into forest school; it will be a type of self-registration. The children showed great listening and safety precautions when using the tools.
This week we are looking at autumn, we have been taking walks down the lane and also around the forest school looking at all the changes, the changing leaves and the changing weather. The children have been collecting bits to put on their special stick.
As the weather is starting to get a little chillerer I will be aiming to have a fire and a hot drink every time the children are in the forest school (Weather dependent until we get our new shelter), if you could put your child in clothes you don’t mind smelling of smoke that would be fab. If you would prefer your child not to smell of smoke please let me know and I can make other arrangements.
I have allocated each child a day to come to Forest School, you can ask me and I will tell you when their day is. Transition Group children will come out when they like.
Thank you to everyone who brought in jam jars for me. We will hopefully be making some yummy blackberry jam next week.
