Sensory play in the Baby unit
Over the past few weeks we have been doing lots of messy and sensory play activities which have included finger painting, tea bag painting, jelly play and pasta play. We enjoyed mark making with the paint and looking at the marks the tea bags left when we splatted them onto the paper. We found the jelly was cold to touch when we were playing with it we filled and emptied it into containers and some of us tasted it! We had more fun exploring the pasta play filling and emptying it into metal containers and listening to the noises it made.
We have been developing our outside area over the past few weeks too making more defined areas to play in including a mark making area, messy play area and a sensory area which in it has a sensory tree we have decorated with ribbons and hung little bags filled with different sensory objects.Back to the News Page
