Revamped Forest School for 2018

We have got a revamped Forest School for 2018. Pete has been busy building us new paths which means that we won’t get too muddy anymore unless we want too!

We have learnt some new skills already this year in Forest School, the children have demonstrated great listening and knowledge of our safety rules when it came to using the saw, spades and when we had a fire. The children used the saw to cut different sized pieces of wood to create our new construction area and the spades were used to dig our new pond area which we are hoping will attract some more toads and newts in the spring, so watch this space! We had a fire to create bird feeders to feed our Forest School birds and also your birds at home.  We have also been creative in the Forest School creating clay animals ranging from cows to cats and we even had a farmer to weaving with wool.  The children have loved the mud kitchen and pit this month getting very muddy making hot chocolate and soups.  What a great and busy start to 2018!
