We have enjoyed listening to the 'Gingerbread Man' story and making our own gingerbread men ... fortunately they did not run away and were able to eat them!
The children have also suggested alternative endings to the story giving the gingerbread a boat, kite and even a rope swing to help him get across the rover.
We have enjoyed experimenting with water and gingerbread men to see what happens and then we placed him into a plastic bag to see if he would stray dry or go soggy.
We have been very busy taking care of our vegetables in 3-4's.
We noticed that many of our vegetables - peas, mange tout, carrots, lettuce and broccoli were ready to harvest, so we picked them and washed them ready to make soup. The children chopped the vegetables themselves activating all of their senses, smelling, touching and tasting them as we made a delicious soup.
