Healthy Body, Happy Me! Including the Big Brush campaign. 15th-19th March 2010
All next week we are taking part in the National Day Nurseries Associations (NDNA)
‘Healthy Body, Happy Me’ campaign.
Healthy body, happy me week is a national campaign which promotes the importance of healthy lifestyles for young children and aims to give children the energy for play, learning and fun. Thousands of nurseries and children take part in the campaign each year.
This year the NDNA contacted Annie and asked her to launch an event for the campaign. The event will be the ‘Big Brush Challenge’ and will take place on Thursday 18th of March between 9am and 10pm (Thursday children only). The event will include a few words from the chief executive of the NDNA Purnima Tanuku and their marketing officer Sara Hill. They will then introduce Smiley the Crocodile who will prepare the children to take part in the ‘Big Brush’ at 9.30am by teaching them to brush their teeth and sing the brushing song with them. The children will then brush their teeth for two minutes along with thousands of other children across the UK who are taking part in the challenge. A photographer and the local newspaper will be attending the event also.
For the rest of the week we will be following the headings below and will be undertaking fun and healthy activities.
